	Consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician Mr Soumitra Banerjee MBBS M.Phil MRCOG

	Mr Banerjee qualified in India, in 1984 and completed his post graduate training in the UK in 2000. As a Senior Registrar at Hammersmith Hospital. He worked with Professor Lord Robert Winston and Mr Raul Margara in the Fertility Clinic, and developed his interest in Reproductive medicine. Since 2000 he has been busy as Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage, Herts. Despite his busy schedule as an NHS Consultant, he has found time to work on specialty areas, such as Diabetes and Hypertension in Pregnancy, Uterine fibroids, Endometriosis, Polycystic ovarian disease and Miscarriage. He has been treating couples at the Harley Street Fertility Centre, on a “Satellite IVF” programme, from Hertfordshire, since 2005: and has now joined the team to Consult at the Centre and provide antenatal care as well as a general gynaecological service alongside fertility care. Thus , we are now able to provide care from pre-conception to delivery, including follow up, if required.
